Eliminate Upper and Lower Back Pain Now

Back Pain
It can be easy to write off back pain as a simple inconvenience—until you have to deal with the issue yourself. As many as 80% of Americans will be faced with back pain at some point in their lives, and it can affect more of your life than you might think. In addition to dealing with nagging pain, back issues can make it hard to:

  • Exercise: When your back aches, a workout can become an impossible feat—which can negatively affect your overall health.
  • Work: If you have a job that requires frequent lifting or sitting for long periods of time, back pain might make it hard to do your job.

Fortunately, you don’t have to let back pain rule your life. By seeking chiropractic care, you can find relief from spinal misalignment's and tense, sore muscles so that you can focus on your day-to-day activities.

Treatments for Neck and Upper Back Pain

  • Spinal Adjustments: After Dr. Shaw evaluates your back problems, he will carefully adjust your back to align your spine and relieve pressure.
  • Massage: If your back muscles become tight due to overuse or injury, they can tug on your spine and create pain. Dr. Shaw can work with muscles to loosen them up, so that you can walk and move normally.

Treatments for Lower Back Pain

  • Muscle Stimulation: To speed healing, Dr. Shaw might even use electric muscle stimulation to encourage blood flow to the area. This method, combined with massage, can relax back muscles and relieve pain.
  • Mobilization: Stretching and exercise can decrease back pain, which is why Dr. Shaw might recommend specific movements and exercises.
  • Surgery: Depending on the extent of your lower back injury, Dr. Shaw might recommend surgery. For example, if you have crushed lower vertebrae that are pinching nerves, you might need an operation to fuse the muscles together.

Testimonial from Marjie:

“Dr. Shaw with SHAW Chiropractic is amazing! I have been having back pain for 5 months. I had seen one G.P., two other chiropractors and one physical therapist. I have spent a fortune trying to get feeling better. With two visits Doctor Shaw has me on the road to recovery. I don’t know why other chiropractors wont use the activator. There are only three activator proficient doctors in the state of Utah and I am so glad that I found Doctor Shaw. I hope that he is in Utah forever.”
